These are the few reasons why I am not continuing:
1. I am not interested in TVB as much as I was last time. If there is no passion or interest, there is certainly no motivation as well.
2. I also won't have much time to watch series anymore because next year, I will be much busier as before. I am taking many new subjects next year, which requires a lot of my attention, practice and concentration. I would like to be uninvolved in TVB, as much as possible.
3. A TVB-related fan blog, is not complete without reviews and the latest information. Honestly, I can't write reviews! I seem to find every series I watch lately, mediocre. I am also not too good in pointing out the weaknesses and strengths in a series.
4. I will be creating a new Gigi Lai archive/fansite. I find it much easier to post in a blog which only requires information about one person or thing. Searching for news is also easier.
Handling a TVB fansite is not as easy as it seems. TVB is very general, and I'm very late in receiving new series filming updates or news.
I won't be deleting the blog though. I'll keep it here, as memories.
You may remove my link if you want to.
You may also wish to replace the TOT link with the new Gigi site link, but remember to inform me so that I can link you as well!
I'm terribly sorry.
If you want to keep in touch, you can either find me @:
or @ my
personal blog, facebook and twitter ( it's for me to know and for you to find out!).

Premiering 18th October - 13th December Mon-Fri, 9.30pm
(Fu Gwai Mun)
Sophisticated banker CHEUK YAT YUEN (Ray Lui) mistakes con artist SA FU LOI (Gallen Lo) for his half brother CHEUK YAT MING, fortuitously elevating the swindler to one of the leading figures in the banking industry. The lost and found brotherhood has blinded YUEN to FU's real nature and intentions.
YUEN is kidnapped overseas by a group of rioters. He undergoes a dramatic personality change after the incident. YUEN's wife HO TSEUK NIN (Jaime Chik) has tried her best to console him but still cannot help him get over the unpleasant experience. Longing for more comfort and support, YUEN gets back with his ex-lover TUNG LING CHI (Kenix Kwok). NIN is heartbroken to learn about the affair and it has left the broken mirror that can't be mended.
The identity of CHEUK YAT MING gives FU not only a sense of family warmth but also a sweet taste of romance. He finds himself in love with YUEN's little sister CHEUK YAT SUM (Anita Yeun). SUM is attracted to FU too but thinking that they are true biological siblings, she decides to keep her love under wraps and stays with her long-term admirer KO TOK MAN (Steven Ma) instead. This comes as a huge blow to FU. He is not willing to lose his love, but neither can he reveal his real identity. Caught up in the dilemma between love and money, FU finally chooses the fortune road of no return.
It is all about a tough battle for money, a devious triangle of love, and a severe challenge to ethics.

WOOT!!! It's finally being aired. Honestly, I don't expect much from the series because of the previous grand productions... quality deteriorating! I've been seeing a lot of family-fighting-for-business plots lately >_< Also, I don't fancy series which have to do with family business or that sort of thing. But this series, has so many TVB veterans whom we have not seen on-screen for ages! I will watch this for them :)
Premiering 21st Sept - 16th Oct Mon-Fri, 9.30pm
(Choi Sang Yu Siu Fung Sin)
Military Governor CHOI NGOK (Damian Lau) has been attempting to overthrow the Yuen Sai Hoi government. YUEN SAI HOI (Law Lok Lam), who is suspicious of NGOK, sends the Chief of Staff MOK YIK TIN (Dominic Lam) to spy on him. Later he even lures NGOK's wife PAK SZ TING (Crystal Tin) to Beijing, hoping that this will force NGOK to pledge his loyalty to the government. To ensure the success of the revolutionary movement, NGOK carries on with his affair with WAN as a camouflage, without realizing that she has seriously fallen in love with him. WAN is ready to give up everything just to be with NGOK while NGOK remains cold and distant towards her. Soldier YUE YAM KWOK (Kenneth Ma) is also in love with WAN and would like to get her out of her predicament. - Charmaine asks Power to become a part-time CEO for the restaurant.
- Power makes efforts to improve the restaurant. But it makes it harder for the workers there.
- Teresa receives a delivery order but she has to deliver it to somewhere dangerous...
- Benz hires Dayo to become a minor consultant.
- Funny scene: Power and Mandy goes to a pub to try to please a manager of a big company (which happens to be Benz). Coincidentally, Benz brings Dayo along. Dayo sees the both of them there.
Dayo: (T0 Power) Wow, you come to such a place for fun? I'm going to tell your wife about it. (To Mandy) You have come too? I'm going to tell your husband about it. (To Power) Oh, both of you have come! I'm going to tell your father about it!
(His acting just makes it so much funnier!)
Benz's company decides to buy Charmaine's dad's restaurant for HK$4 millilon. Power and Mandy quickly agreed.
- Jason was not too happy to hear the news.
- Everyone decided to not sell the restaurant. They also removed Power as the CEO, and replaced him with Teresa.
- They underwent a renovation and the restaurant did better than before.
- Benz's father is rushing Dayo to buy the old buildings so that they can rebuild.
- Dayo wants to buy Chai Kei (the restaurant) and all the other neighbouring restaurants again. They did not want to sell it.
- Dayo's company (Wu Shi Enterprises Group) held a meeting to discuss about the acquisition. All of them (the owner and workers of the restaurants) worked hard in preparing for the meeting. In the end, Benz's dad adjourned the meeting and wanted to think thoroughly before buying the shops.
- Charmaine asks Dayo for help to teach her how to expand Chai Kei's business.
- Dayo teaches Charmaine how to be a 'dirty businessman'.
- The other 2 restaurants have sold their restaurant to Dayo.

Charmaine looks like her character in The Drive of Life in episode 4..
Love Mandy and Charmaine's clothes in the series! Very modern...
Friday, September 11, 2009
- Dayo comes back from NY to HK.
- Benz Hui lost his hotel.
- Dayo helps Benz recover the hotel
- Charmaine meets Benz and asks him to help her pay her things through credit card first. Dayo discourages Benz to do so. But in order for Benz to help Charmaine pay, Charmaine has to allow Benz to hug her xD (But Benz was only grasping her shoulders and hips o.O)
- Benz's dad offers Dayo a VIP suite. Dayo was actually a famous business tycoon (In this scene, Dayo plays 'Moonlight Sonata' on piano!).
- Power and Mandy comes back for dinner. When Mandy opened Charmaine's wardrobe, all her bags fell down (Char reminds me of Rebecca Bloomwood)
- Dayo has found Teresa and her family. Teresa sells round cakes. Coincidentally, Charmaine was also there to collect Teresa's debt. Charmaine thought Dayo was Teresa's husband and blames him for treating her badly. Dayo borrows money from Charmaine's company.
- Charmaine finds a house for Dayo through Mandy.
- Dayo finds a job for Teresa at Jason's restaurant.
- Charmaine misunderstood Dayo for Teresa's husband. Teresa then explains that Dayo was actually her real husband's partner. After her husband died, Dayo supported her and gave her a huge sum of money. So she came back to HK. But her mother-in-law got cheated, so she lost all her money.
- Charmaine finds a job for Dayo so that he can pay back the money he owed Charmaine. But Dayo scared the job hunter away.
- Mandy introduces Charmaine to a handsome client. Charmaine then meets someone who has owed her company money (they couldn't locate him at first). So she chases him for money. Mandy's client is afraid of Charmaine and he runs away. In the end, she failed to chase the guy for money. Dayo and Charmaine also had a near-fatal accident and Charmaine's handbag was damaged.
- There have been less customers in Jason's restaurant so they found out that it was caused by another restaurant. Dayo introduced an effective way for the other restaurant to gain customers to get back at Charmaine. But Teresa helps Jason's restaurant to improve.
- Dayo escapes temporarily from paying back his money by asking Charmaine's 'brothers' to trade stocks.

Steven Ma Wants to Get Married
Steven Ma has been busy filming new series "Transferred Connection of Temptation", and the other day, he filmed a wedding scene with Fala Chen. The couple will have a happy ending in the series. Steven and Fala have filmed many series together, and the two are quite good friends. When Fala was picking out the wedding dress, Steven was serious in giving his opinion. Fala expressed that she really likes working with Steven because he can bring her positive energy when working together. Even if it is hard work, Steven will take a deep breath and say, "Let's go!" and they will continue to strive for success. When Steven is tired and all worn out, he will not speak, but he will definitely not make a scene. Fala really admires Steven for having a good heart, and he is willing to tell his partner the truth; therefore, she has a lot of trust for Steven.
Fala also said that during this cooperation, she discovered that Steven is a person who really wants to get married. "Whenever there are kids filming on scene, he would change himself into a father figure, and treat them with love. He will definitely make a good husband and good father". When asked if she or Steven will marry first, Fala believes Steven will marry first. But Steven did not agree, but expressed that he does want to have a family with a happy marriage. It is his biggest wish. Steven had always wanted to marry before the age of thirty. He also hopes to become a father, and when he gets married, he hopes to have kids right away.

7th September - 16th October
Upon returning from a trip with her husband NG MAN TAK (Chung King Fai), cookery teacher LO SIU LAI (Louise Lee) is shocked to find that her little daughter NG CHOI NI (Fala Chen) has started cohabiting with a homosexually inclined colleague LAU TAT YAN (Timmy Hung) while her divorced sister LO SIU MEI (Christine Ng) is seemingly caught up in a love triangle between tenant YAU KAI (Evergreen Mak) and her ex-husband. By and by TAK is forced to retire early and stays at home all day with nothing to do. LAI, on the other hand, is lucky enough to have the opportunity to host a culinary show on TV. Everything seems to have happened too fast but this does not leave LAI frustrated and accursed. Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK. The bickering continues until LAI eventually thinks of a good way to tackle TAK.

Fala!! Aww although there's Fala inside, I'm not too interested with the series. Sounds like another Le Femme Desperado and The Family Link to me.
My goodness, TVB should stop with all these '.....Of Life' titles. The Drive of Life, The Gem of Life and now it's the Stew of Life?
Not to mention, ....風雲 (fung wan) too. 酒店風雲 (zau tim fung wan) Revolving Doors of Vengeance, 賭場風雲 (dou cheung fung wan) Dicey Business, 歲月風雲 (sui yuet fung wan) The Drive of Life etc...

Last year because Suki did not want to get married and have kids so quickly, therefore she broke up with her engineer ex-boyfriend (Wong Chung Sung). Although she later started rumors with Amigo Chui, but they had no fate. Two months ago, Suki finally found her ideal partner, Kenny Wong who is in the catering business. It was said that the person who matched them up was good friend Fung Shui Master Mak Ling Ling. Suki and Kenny's relationship developed and sparked from then on, they would often go on vacations together. Recently, it was rumored that Suki was pregnant.
Yesterday Kenny accompanied Suki to the gynecology clinic and the results confirmed that she is pregnant and is expected to be due in May. As for Kenny, he happily told the Media that Suki is pregnant and they plan to get married December 12th!
Although, Suki is pregnant, but yesterday she still wore a tube dress, high heels and her hand did not appear to have any sort of wedding ring. Suki did not answer any of the Reporters questions, she just smiled. Under the protection of her boyfriend, they left in a yellow Hummer.
Mak Ling Ling was the match-maker for the couple, asked how did she do it? She said: "A year ago, I invited Suki to Kenny's restaurant to do a interview. At the time, they did not exchange phone numbers. It was only 2 months ago, that they bumped into each other at the restaurant. Kenny called me and asked me if he could greet Suki, then they exchanged phone numbers. It turns out that Kenny had always had a crush on Suki."
Only two months of knowing him and she's pregnant and getting married?

Charmaine looks quite pretty in the series! I've been longing to see another Michael series too :D Lol I wonder if Cheung Kwok Keung is gonna be the villian. I haven't seen him on screen for a while.. And Dayo's always having the same love relationships in series. This is another of his 'bickering couple' relationships. It has happened in War of the Genders, To Catch The Uncatchable, Men Don't Cry and for this one as well. I'm kinda sick of seeing the same old relationships! I hope this one works out.

COSTUME FITTING VIDEO:
LOL the costume fitting vid is so so cute! Tavia and Kenneth are such close friends. I've made 2 icons of them (post below).
I am really looking forward to the show! I love FungYi! This series is 25 episodes long (credits to hyn5)! I don't know what to say about the episode length. 30 would be perfect though cause 40 would be too long and 20 is too short.
The series is actually based on a Japanese drama, "Detective Galileo".
Raymond Lam - Psychics Professor; Tavia's lover
Tavia Yeung - Cop, then becomes detective; Raymond's lover
Kenneth Ma - Tavia's boss; playboy; Bernice's lover
Bernice Liu (big guest star) - Kenneth's lover
Lisa. S - One of Kenneth's many girlfriends
Lawrence Ng - Tavia's nephew

This series is really under-hyped. It looks just like the ICAC Investigators sequels. Kenny Wong as a gang leader.. I think Kenny's the perfect person to play the role. Roger Kwok with a missing wife and hidden identity.. I want to watch this series!
