Sorry.. but I've decided to change display name (around the Internet) to Blossom.
Why? This is quite personal.
When? Starting from now.
So when I post on your cbox, you won't see 'carmen' anymore.. you'll see 'Blossom' instead.
But I'm still the same 'ol cranky Carmen!


The lady in yellow was talking on the phone about her daughter getting pregnant (still a virgin).

Screencaping TGOL instead of write-ups

Hey, so how's everyone doing lately? Sry for not posting frequently, I've been pretty busy with a lot of things especially homework! School just started for me and probably for others as well. It has been a rough first week of school. A lot of 'interesting' things happened lately.. I'm still catching up on Gem, despite the VERY slow internet connection I'm facing right now. I can't believe I'm already downloading up to episode 59, it's a record!! I have never downloaded so many episodes of series in my life

Anyways, I give up on the write-ups for TGOL! It's just too long, I can't cope with it especially with the loads of homework my teachers are giving. So I plan to just do screencaps of the important or memorable parts of the episode, gives you a glimpse of what's gonna happen before you watch it or it brings back 'memories' when you watched that certain episode!
Probably I'll start from episode 35.. but if you guys have any special requests on what episode to screencap (except for the episodes I have already provided write-ups for), feel free to ask.
Hopefully, I'll start screencap-ing and replying your tags tomorrow, right after my hw

Oh yeah, I also plan to take down the reactions thingy cause people are playing with it xD Not bragging that I have great posts, but I KNOW a few people who click it for fun

The Gem of Life - Martin (Ngok Wah)'s transformation.

Warning - Spoilers ahead!

Those who have been watching Gem, should probably know that Martin Ho Fung (Ngok Wah) is a very gentle businessman. He's quite quiet at times, and doesn't have a very good relationship with his son, Terrence Ho (Moses Chan). He is also shy, shy as in shy in the business world, as he doesn't really chase for HUGE projects like the projects his son and Sung Sai Man fight for.
Other than that, he is always giving way to his 'good friend' Sung Sai Man (Chan Hung Lit).

He also has a loving wife, Jessica Hong Nga Sze (Ada Choi), the youngest daughter of the Hong family. People have told him that she married him because of his money, but he did not care.. he married her unofficially in Phuket, after they met each other in a cave and thought it was fate that brought them together.

But in episode 50, his true colours shine.


He is no longer the Martin we once judged. He had a plan, a brilliant plan to slowly defeat Sung Sai Man. He plotted carefully for years, being very patient and not giving up on it. Turns out that Charlie, Sung Sai Man's fourth wife (Queena Chan) was some kind of spy, working for Martin, telling him about Sung Sai Man's plans. After enduring all those years full of pain, anger and suffering, Martin is now #1 in the HK business world. Even his close ones (Terrence, Melissa and Jessica) all found this a huge shock. He even whistled on his way out after pushing SSM down.

In fact, he looked pretty scary when he had a conversation with Terrence after his argument with SSM.


Martin: Why are you staring at me like that?
Terrence: I just want to see clearly, whether the person in front of me, was the father I used to know.
Martin: To succeed, you have to endure. You can forget the old me. From today onwards, everything will change for the better. It will be come our world!
(note that this is just part of the conversation.)

I read some spoilers that he will become very insecure of his things including his loved one, Jessica, thinking that she had an affair with Tai Wor. And he will eventually die.
I am really looking forward to future episodes, curious at how Martin's greed will tackle and overtake him.

Oh yeah, also.. I finally got to watch the first episode of Moses's new variety show, Coffee Confidential (link from All About Mo). Moses looks sooo good in the show ! He went to Indonesia in this episode, in search of how Coffee Luwak was made. And I definitely learned an awful lot about coffee. LOL.. and that Irish coffee Moses made in the end looked so tempting, with whipped cream on top... COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE! LOL, sorry, I'm a bit hyper cause I just drank coffee
And I got new emoticons! Cute ones
