Sophisticated banker CHEUK YAT YUEN (Ray Lui) mistakes con artist SA FU LOI (Gallen Lo) for his half brother CHEUK YAT MING, fortuitously elevating the swindler to one of the leading figures in the banking industry. The lost and found brotherhood has blinded YUEN to FU's real nature and intentions.

YUEN is kidnapped overseas by a group of rioters. He undergoes a dramatic personality change after the incident. YUEN's wife HO TSEUK NIN (Jaime Chik) has tried her best to console him but still cannot help him get over the unpleasant experience. Longing for more comfort and support, YUEN gets back with his ex-lover TUNG LING CHI (Kenix Kwok). NIN is heartbroken to learn about the affair and it has left the broken mirror that can't be mended.

The identity of CHEUK YAT MING gives FU not only a sense of family warmth but also a sweet taste of romance. He finds himself in love with YUEN's little sister CHEUK YAT SUM (Anita Yeun). SUM is attracted to FU too but thinking that they are true biological siblings, she decides to keep her love under wraps and stays with her long-term admirer KO TOK MAN (Steven Ma) instead. This comes as a huge blow to FU. He is not willing to lose his love, but neither can he reveal his real identity. Caught up in the dilemma between love and money, FU finally chooses the fortune road of no return.

It is all about a tough battle for money, a devious triangle of love, and a severe challenge to ethics.

Thoughts
WOOT!!! It's finally being aired. Honestly, I don't expect much from the series because of the previous grand productions... quality deteriorating! I've been seeing a lot of family-fighting-for-business plots lately >_< Also, I don't fancy series which have to do with family business or that sort of thing. But this series, has so many TVB veterans whom we have not seen on-screen for ages! I will watch this for them :)

Military Governor CHOI NGOK (Damian Lau) has been attempting to overthrow the Yuen Sai Hoi government. The Stew of Life [有营煮妇 yau ying zyu fu]; Series title repetitions

Upon returning from a trip with her husband NG MAN TAK (Chung King Fai), cookery teacher LO SIU LAI (Louise Lee) is shocked to find that her little daughter NG CHOI NI (Fala Chen) has started cohabiting with a homosexually inclined colleague LAU TAT YAN (Timmy Hung) while her divorced sister LO SIU MEI (Christine Ng) is seemingly caught up in a love triangle between tenant YAU KAI (Evergreen Mak) and her ex-husband. By and by TAK is forced to retire early and stays at home all day with nothing to do. LAI, on the other hand, is lucky enough to have the opportunity to host a culinary show on TV. Everything seems to have happened too fast but this does not leave LAI frustrated and accursed. Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK. The bickering continues until LAI eventually thinks of a good way to tackle TAK.

Delivering a real taste of home, "The Stew of Life" gives you an insight into how women think and feel about relationship and family issues as a daughter, wife and mother.

Members of the once dissolved "Death Investigation Extension (D.I.E.)" have been called together. YUE CHI LONG (Kwok Chun ON), CHEUNG CHING YEE (Derek Kwok) and other team members are all gearing up to crack unsolved cold cases with their usual out-of-the-box style. YING CHING CHING (Kwok Sonija) has been looking forward to this for a long time. She is so excited that she even brings along her baby son to work! LONG is not happy about this, yet he has no choice but to take turns with other team members to take care of the baby, bringing about rounds after rounds of hilarious episodes. CHING discovers by chance that her son has inherited LONG's supernatural powers. In order to prove to LONG she is as capable as him as an inspector, CHING makes use of their son's powers in investigating. LONG is even more displeased, and their relationship has suffered a great deal. Later, LONG finds out that a bad guy is using YING PUI PUI (Nancy Wu), CHING's younger sister, to attack CHING and their son. LONG gets ambushed and put in a coma, during which he has an out-of-body experience. Seeing that his wife and son are in danger, his spirit takes over YEE's body, unexpectedly resulting in.

High-flier MAK TAI SONG (Dayo Wong) has dissociated himself from the business world by showing deep regret to the suicide of his mentor. Thoughts
Charmaine looks quite pretty in the series! I've been longing to see another Michael series too :D Lol I wonder if Cheung Kwok Keung is gonna be the villian. I haven't seen him on screen for a while.. And Dayo's always having the same love relationships in series. This is another of his 'bickering couple' relationships. It has happened in War of the Genders, To Catch The Uncatchable, Men Don't Cry and for this one as well. I'm kinda sick of seeing the same old relationships! I hope this one works out.

A Great Way To Care [仁心解码]; Happy Belated Bday Charmaine!

KO LAP YAN (Fong Chung Sun), Senior Psychiatrist of Yan Wo Hospital, is a competent and kind-hearted doctor who specializes in severe schizophrenia and even minor mental illness. YAN cures his patients by not only medication but also by psychological analysis. He diagnoses the cause with reference to the symptoms. The plot is interesting, intricate and extraordinary. The Psychiatrist LIN CHI SUM (Cheung Chi Kwong) and the nurse LI YING CHUN (Wong Ho Yin) are both good friends of YAN. SUM is keen on helping people. He has cured a patient suffering from binge eating disorder SUEN KA PIK (Yeo Vivien). They have overcome a lot of difficulties and become a couple. YAN is a divorced single father with a daughter. After the failed marriage, he did not long for love affairs until he chanced upon an Inspector of Serious Crime Unit MOK MAN YEE (Tsui Tsz Shan, Kate). They have gradually developed their relationship through business contact. However, in order to avoid recurrence of genetic mental disease, YEE detaches her feeling from YAN.

While investigating a murder case, he realizes that the new gang leader WU KIT SUM (Kenny Wong) has killed somebody because of KIT's wife. It totally turns KIT's life upside down. This series is really under-hyped. It looks just like the ICAC Investigators sequels. Kenny Wong as a gang leader.. I think Kenny's the perfect person to play the role. Roger Kwok with a missing wife and hidden identity.. I want to watch this series!

However, PING accidentally discovers that his respectful master KUNG is actually the father of POK. In order to protect himself, POK starts making use of HING to eliminate PING. The Winter Melon Tale 大冬瓜

FAN TUNG (Liu Kai Chi) is one of the four deities under the Stove God. He has offended the Queen Mother of the West of being ravenous and gets imprisoned for 500 years in the winter melon. By chance TIN TAI KWAI (Sunny Chan) and his wife CHUNG PIK YUK (Louisa So) free him from constraint. TUNG has crashed with KWAI's older brother TIN TAI FU (also played by Liu Kai Chi) accidentally and his spirit enters FU's body inexplicably while losing all his instincts.

TUNG starts living in KWAI's house and getting closer to the family. YUK finds suspicious TUNG and she tries to unmask him by all means. Having failed in his attempt to return to Heaven, TUNG becomes reliant on the help of six little deities who assimilated his instincts released from the melon, and since then TUNG is aware of the fickleness of human nature. One day, FU's truant wife LING FUNG (Rain Lau) suddenly returns. She ruins everything and even causes the death of KWAI. In order to get his life back, TUNG illicitly breaks into the netherworld.

King of Snookers!!!

According to AOD, King of Snookers is airing at March 30th! Still a long way to go, but worth the wait cause the series looks interesting. They also have a great combination of stars such as Adam Cheng, Niki Chow, Patrick Tang, Joyce Tang and Derek Kwok.

Oh yes, and Happy Birthday to Fala Chen and Christine Ng! Both wonderful actresses (:

Kong Sai Hou (Michael Miu) is released from jail in Taiwan. He returns to Hong Kong immediately and tries to find his daughter KONG YAU YAU (Elanne Kong) so as to heal their relationship. By pretending to be friendly with the one who made him in jail, the gang leader TO YIK TIN (Carrie LamLam Lei)*, KONG is eager to get even with him, and also intends to draw two young policemen to his side in order to strengthen his influence. LEE PAK KIU (Sammul Chan) from the Emergency Unit is reluctant to get close with a gangster while CHUNG LAP MAN (Ron Ng) from Special Duty Squad believes that KONG could help them fight against TIN by acting as an informer. MAN develops a close relationship with him gradually but he has been dismissed before accomplishing the task. Afterwards, KONG takes MAN under his wing and MAN devotes himself to the triad society.

TIN always put KONG on his guard and he asks his trusted follower LEUNG SIU TONG (Michael Tse) to keep a close eye on KONG. On the other hand, KONG fights back by making use of TIN's wife CHING YEUK SAM (Kathy Chow Hoi Mei) to strengthen his power in the gang. KONG eventually becomes the gang leader and he believes that everything is under control. However, the drug trafficking business keeps running into trouble abnormally. KONG begins to question the loyalties among his confidants.

Thoughts
I have been anticipating this series ever since it started filming! This is a must-watch for me, especially since Kathy has made a comeback. She was (and probably still is) one of my favourite actress back then. She still looks as beautiful too! Elanne was always a singer/movie actress in my eyes. Now that she filmed a series, I'd like to watch her performance, which perhaps will be the same in her movies. I like Sammul too! Glad he's still in the series. The themesong sounds catchy. Lastly, they have a really cool poster!

What?! Leila's in the series? Wow, I didn't know. I love her, haven't seen her in series lately. The cast looks great.. Wayne, Kent, Lee Heung Kam, Sonija, Bernice, LEILA etc.. Wayne as a villian, that's very fresh! And if I'm not mistaken, Sonija and Kent together?? Looking forward to watching that (: Too bad it's warehoused.

NIP CHI YUEN (Steven Ma), who works in the anti-smuggling camp, is determined to wipe out the Tau's Fort, which is the stronghold for salt smugglers. He pretends to be a down-and-out scholar. TAU SING SUET (Tavia Yeung), daughter of the chief smuggler, sympathizes with YUEN and puts him up in the village. Later, they even become fond of each other. During an anti-smuggling operation SUET is badly hurt and has since been separated from YUEN and her family. Fortunately she is saved by WU TING HIN (Raymond Wong), son of salt merchant WU KIN (Kwok Fung). HIN takes her home. One day, SUET is horrified to see the dead bodies of her parent being hung on the wall of the city tower, and that the official standing on the top of the tower telling the public not to sell smuggled salt is none other than the man she misses day and night. She is heartbroken, and her love for YUEN turns into hatred that moment on.

HIN finds a job for SUET at the salt company his family runs to help her get over her unhappiness. To repay him, she devotes herself entirely to the job. As time goes by, HIN starts to fall in love with her. However his critical illness making him hesitates to express his love for her. SUET's real identity comes to light when her younger uncle reappears out of the blue. HIN, for fear that his family will report SUET, proposes to her.

Thoughts
The plot sounds like a usual TVB series, but it's pretty romantic! And Tavia looks super pretty in this series. I was also looking forward to another Tavia&Steven series, they were awesome together in Land of Wealth. But due to school, homework and what not.. I won't be watching this, until probably February

Bookshop staff Fong Hok Man (Paul Chun) always believes that "knowledge is power". He tries hard to encourage his older son Fong Sum Ming (Wayne Lai) and his younger son Fong Sum Ching (Eric Suen) to study more. Unfortunately, Ming is not good at studying at all and he quits after secondary school. On the other hand, Ching is a very smart boy and Mng works hard overseas to support Ching's further studies on computer sciences in America.

The two brothers return to Hong Kong eventually and they work in the same commercial building. Ching works as a senior network security engineer while Ming works as a junior security guard. Man worries that the difference in their job ranking will hinder their relationship. Ming admires a girl Yuen Wai Chung (Sonija Kwok) who opens a paper mud figure shop. Man tries to help Ming establish his career by buying a secondhand bookshop for him to operate. However, Man doesn't realize that the virtual world is gradually manipulating his family. Ching meets a romanticist Tsu Hei Man (Vivien Yeo) at work which creates misunderstanding between him and his girlfriend, Lui Yuen Yi (Shirley Yeung). Man's younger daughter Fong Sum Mei (Lily Ho) indulges herself in the virtual world and she is suspected for stealing exam papers on the internet.

Thoughts
It looks like an interesting series! I might watch this.. especially since Wayne's the lead and Eric's in it. The female leads (Sonija, Shirley and Vivien) looks mighty pretty in the series too!

Coming from a very humble background, POON MUK HING (Steven Joe Ma) nevertheless is content with his lot. He works for the POONs of Dongshan as driver. His true identity of the eldest son of the family comes to light when he saves POON CHEUK WAH (Raymond Wong), the young master, in an accident. CHONG FUNG YEE (Liza Wang), the first daughter-in-law in the family, has to admit unwillingly the fact that when she married into the family she was already pregnant. His true identity revealed, HING changes his name to POON CHEUK HING according to the genealogical table of the clan. The mother and son have since been locked in a seesaw struggle.

YIP HEUNG CHING (Charmaine Sheh) came from an influential family in Xiguan. She starts selling congee on a boat for a living with her elder brother after their family has fallen into decline. CHING and WAH used to go out but YEE did all she could to separate them. Later, CHING opens a teahouse with the help and support of HING. Spontaneously, love blossoms between them. Not long afterwards, the Poon family runs into a lot of troubles. YEE and WAH are unable to handle them at all. HING seizes the opportunity to restore the prestige of the family. For the sake of the benefit of POONs, he is prepared to sacrifice his relationships with other family members, his love as well as his friends. By doing so, he also involves himself in a never-ending bloody battle of power.

IMO, Fala sings quite well, better than an average singer. Who knows, maybe one day she'll become a singer like a lot of the other TVB actors/actresses :]

Hardhearted and smart MO CHING (Raymond Lam) became a crippled when he was young. Fortunately CHING has met CHU KOT CHING NGO (Dominic Lam), the Head of the Sheriff Bureau, and has learnt from him his unparalleled skills of using concealed weapons. CHU risks his life to ruin their plan but by doing this, he is also driving the bond between him and The Four to the verge of disintegration.
